Be careful what you wish for! When I last posted I talked of changes, things to come and becoming who I'm meant to be. Looks like a new job will be a part of this process! What job you ask? Well I have no freaking clue! I should be stressed and freaking out but I'm not. I feel excited and ok yeah a little stressed.
So now that I am looking for something new the question becomes what do I wanna be when I grow up? :o) Ideally an author but that won't be happening in the next week or two so next idea please! Anyone?? Well for now I'm scoping the want ads and putting in some prayer time. Please dearest baby Jesus lead me where you want me to be and it would be awesome if that included a raise. hehe
Mostly I would love something flexible so I can be with the kids whenever possible. I can take them to school and pick them up. Hello part-time work? Guess we will see. Now to make myself sound as amazing on paper as I am in real life... ;D

Pursuing Life, Love, and Happiness
I've hit a time in life when self reflection is in order. Time to take stock in who I am and who I want to be. I'm tired of the everyday rut that I've fallen into. I don't want to just go through the motions. I want to live with reckless abandon. Love my friends and family without hesitation and find what truly makes me happy and complete.
What do you pursue in your life? Do you live with purpose toward a goal? When you awaken in the morning do you rise with the knowledge that you are doing what you want or that you are working towards that? What does your heart desire and how in the world can you achieve that?
So the easy part is asking the questions. The hard part is answering them! I can tell you more of what I don't want than what I do. I find as a wife and mom I've lost a little of what I love to do and replaced it with what they need and what they want. Time to find balance! So my current goal is to find what I miss and take the steps to get back into it! Or to try something new and find things I never knew I would enjoy. So far I've focused my attention on getting back into shape!
I've gotten back into jogging again or as close to it as I can be for the moment :o) 12 minute miles aren't terrible but they are nowhere near what I once ran! I pause for a sigh to the runner I once was. And now on to the goals that will help me find her again ~ or perhaps a version of her that will kick the previous me's butt :O) A girl's gotta have dreams lol. I set goals to increase my speed or distance and LOVE when I hit them. When I don't I find myself that much more determined to do it the next time. I even give myself an occasional run without the clock running- which is actually hard for me to do! As an added bonus I'm too tired to be stressed by the time I'm done!
I've also tried yoga and found I love this as well! It's a calming and challenging practice that requires concentration, flexibility and a bit of forgiveness for not being perfect. What a great way to remind myself that it's OK to be imperfect and enjoy it. I believe Jillian Michaels said "it's OK to show up and suck until you don't". Love that!!! As I watch the others around me either in class or on the video it's cool to think that there was a time that the girl with the perfect form once lost her balance and touched her foot back to the floor too. I see the yogi (is that how you spell that?!) I can be.
What do you do to relieve the stress of the everyday? How do you ensure that you are honoring the unique talents and desires that you have? Are you happy and excited about life or have you lost your luster and need a jump start to find the amazing you that you were designed to be?
As for me - next up I will be taking some inspiration from my friend, Gia, and attempting to tap my inner interior decorator - hope it works for me half as well as it works for her! Here's to the future and all the possibilities!!
